The Guestbook

If you have something to ask, tell, or just want to let me know of your visit, then please use the form below to send me and my Colargol your greetings. If the form is not sufficient for what you want to send then I can be reached through teemu <underline> makinen <at> kolumbus <dot> fi. Feel free to use French, German, Finnish or Swedish instead of English if you so prefer (several other languages will be understood as well but I cannot guarantee an intelligible reply beyond those five). Please let me know if you want a personal reply - your e-mail address won't be misused or revealed to third parties. Before asking a question, please check that it hasn't already been answered below:

  • Who are you? My name is Teemu Mäkinen and I'm a 40 something Finnish guy who thinks that the world would be a nicer place if more people got the opportunity to meet Colargol.
  • When will you and Colargol visit country/city X? Our destinations are announced in advance for each particular trip but there isn't any fixed schedule to answer that question. Since I am doing this on my own money, I most likely cannot accept any invitations unless they come with free tickets.
  • Can you tell me where to find some Colargol DVDs in language X? As mentioned, Colargol isn't readily available in any language, and the only way to find DVDs is to search the net for second hand copies. The most likely place to start the search would be the Polish auction site Allegro.
  • When will new DVDs get published? Unfortunately, I don't have any insider information but rest assured that I'll be watching the situation closely and keeping these pages updated.
  • Can you sell me copies of the Colargol DVDs that you have? No, that's against the law.
  • Would you sell me one of the puppets? No, their sentimental value cannot be measured in cash.
  • Can you make me a new puppet then? I don't have legal rights to Colargol merchandise neither the required time to make puppets for sale. However, if you made your own puppet I'd love to hear about it.
  • Do you take advertisements on your pages? No, I want to keep this site strictly non-commercial. If you can see advertisements on these pages then be assured that they are not inserted by me and I am not getting any profit from them (unsolicited advertisements can be injected to web pages by browser add-ons, malware or even some service providers).
  • Where did you find the backgroud wallpaper? It's self made like all the other material that is not directly attributed to an external source. You can display it separately and set it as your desktop background (use the tiling mode).
  • Have you seen 'Amélie'? Yes, it a charming movie. However, my Colargol is not a member of the Gnome Liberation Front or Gnomes Sans Frontieres (after all he's a bear, not a gnome) but he concurs that traveling is a great way to open your mind and make new friends.

Wonderful site, great that you have kept it non-commercial, let's hope someday soon Colargol will be free for everyone to enjoy. The story would make a good documentary at least. I saw Jeremy in Ireland on t.v 1978/79. Is there any info on who did the voice for Jeremy?
I know that the British 'Barnaby' was voiced by Colin Jeavons but I have never seen the names of the Irish/Canadian voice actors. Even the episodes themselves only list the original (French) actor names. -T

A fantastic site!! Colargol, Barnaby, Jeremy... doesn't matter what his name is, he's a legend

Jordon, Canada (Feb 24, 2010)
I have searched for many years to find my childhood friend. I could not remember his name, many hours of searching the net proved futile, I even asked many others if they recalled the little bear who goes on adventures across the world and outerspace, with his animal friends and a magic suitcase... but to no avail... Until now, I have just found your site, and am taken back to those days when I felt, as you say "That's me walking on the moon." Thank you so very much for a wonderful site, I appreciate the time and thought you have put into it. Your own little Colargol has inspired me, I plan on putting my sculpting skills to work and building my own little Jeremy, hopefully soon. Best wishes from someone who shares your appreciation for a children show that has a subtle ability to span across generations, languages, and as many places in the world as our little friend traveled in his adventures.

Bravo! This is the best Colargol website i've found. The affection for the character you shown here is awesome. Thank you for your sensibility, sharing this treasure and making us to love Colargol even more.

I'm so excited to find out this website on internet. Colargol is my favorite cartoon character. I have been looking for it for long time--almost 20 years. Mr.Mäkinen Thank you very much to make this site for us, so that I can recall my happy childhood.

Eva Kellermann, Hungary (Dec 11, 2009)
This the best Colargol website I have ever seen. And Teemu is a most amazing person: not a dreamer, like me :). Thank you for sharing information on how to create the puppet. I am not brave (and skilful :)) enough yet to make an attempt, however, I have already started to improve my French in order to understand my favourite version more. Should you need any assistance in translating related texts from English to Hungarian, please do not hesitate to contact me. (Unfortunately I have no access to the official Hungarian version of the episode list.) Thank you once again.

Ben Huwel, England (Dec 3, 2009)
